Wheww...

Wow!! What a week we had last week! I was waiting to post until I had some pictures, but those will come a little later. It was very exciting and very tiring as well. David's family was in town for "Christmas in March"!! We had a nice time just being with one another. It was so fun that Aunt Bethany, Uncle Steve and Uncle Colin got to meet Wyatt. He just loved them (though showed it mostly by sleeping).

Thursday was a very eventful day. It started out with a breakfast at 8:30am at Cracker Barrel. Then we were off to Charleston for the day. Wyatt did so well in the car; he sat in the back seat with me and Mimi. Charleston is such a wonderful city. We drove straight to Battery Park to see all of the beautiful houses. When we got there, though, it was SO windy and pretty chilly. We ate lunch in Battery Park and then headed to the dock to catch the ferry to Fort Sumter. We toured Fort Sumter and then hopped back on the ferry to supper at Fleet Landing. We ate there and celebrated Pops and Mimi's 60th birthdays. After supper, we headed back to Augusta for the evening. Quite an eventful day for an almost 7 weeker! He was a champ, though!!

David was at a golf tournament to raise money for Camp Hope on Friday and Saturday. Wyatt and I stayed with Papa and Nonna. It was a fun time just hanging out and having some bonding time with them!

We had so much fun last week, but it's nice to get back to the normal routine. I'm starting the countdown to when I go back to work. I'm going to be a little sad and am cherishing the time I have with Wyatt. He's such a precious little boy and I've grown to love him even more these past 7 weeks -- is that even possible?! Until next time...

  1. So fun that you joined the blogging world. I love keeping up with everyone this way. Seems like little Wyatt is a champion traveler like Caroline. Let's hope they both stay that way :)
